Beverly UNDERWOOD

Beverly UNDERWOOD, 81, of Ollie, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at home.

A funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ollie Baptist Church with the Rev. Carla Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Ollie Cemetery (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).

Visitation opens at noon Friday at Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont, with family present from 4-6 p.m.

Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. UNDERWOOD was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Ollie, the daughter of Howard and Vera Jane NORTHUP WEBER. She married Richard UNDERWOOD at Ollie Baptist Church Dec. 23, 1953.

She graduated from Ollie Consolidated High School with the class of 1950.

She was a devoted and hard working farm wife.

She was a 50-year charter member of Ollie Eastern Star and was happy to serve her community and church.

She enjoyed cooking, playing cards with her friends and grandchildren, mushroom hunting and never missed a good ball game.

Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca WILCOX and spouse Allen of Carlisle; two sons, Bruce UNDERWOOD and spouse Joelle of Woodruff, Wisconsin, and Brent UNDERWOOD of Cupertino, California; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Darlene MORRIS.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
