Emery F. LITTLE Funeral Monday

Emery F. LITTLE, long-time resident of Fairfield, died at 12:40 a.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital where he had been a patient for the past five weeks.

He had been in failing health the past three months and seriously ill the past three weeks.

Last rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. Alvin E. Nelson in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.

Emery F. LITTLE, 75, was born July 18, 1889, at Decama, Neb., the son of Franklin and Susan HOWARD LITTLE. He was married to Elizabeth E. McCARTY on Oct. 5, 1912.

LITTLE was a retired electrician and Parsons college custodian. The family home is at 702 N. Court.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters and one son: Mrs. Elvina MACFARLINE, Santa Ana, Calif.; Mrs. Ester REED, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Charles VINYARD and Norman LITTLE, both of Ottumwa. He is also survived by one brother, Joe, who resides in Iola, Kan. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

LITTLE spent most of his life in the Fairfield and Ottumwa areas except for several years spent in farming near Hudson, S.D.

Admin. note: Elizabeth remarried, to Clyde CRABLE, and died in 1975; she is buried with Emery while Clyde is buried with his first wife. Emery is in Lot Devotion B 34 - space 1, and Elizabeth is beside him in space 2.
