Illness Fatal To Jacob SHEETZ, 78

PLEASANT PLAIN, Ia.-Jacob SHEETS(?), 78, retired Pleasant Plain farmer, died early today at the Nelson Nursing home in Fairfield. SHEETZ, who had been in failing health for some time, suffered a stroke last Monday.

The body is at the Gould Funeral home in Brighton. Arrangements are pending.

SHEETZ was born March 4, 1884 in Washington county, the son of Godwin and Sarah SHEETZ. He was married to Faye HORTON Dec. 15, 1910. They lived in the Clear Creek community, later moving to a farm near Pleasant Plain. After his retirement, they lived in Pleasant Plain.

SHEETZ was a member of the Hope Lutheran church. He is survived by his wife and three children: LeRoy SHEETZ, Richland; Mrs. Frances SKIDMORE, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Denola ANDERSON, Englewood, Calif.

Also surviving are six grandchildren; one brother, Otto SHEETZ, Washington; and one sister, Mrs. Dale CARRIS, Packwood.

Jacob SHEETZ Rites Sunday

PLEASANT PLAIN, Ia.-Services for Jacob SHEETZ, 78, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Gould Funeral home in Brighton.

SHEETZ, retired Pleasant Plain farmer, died Friday morning at the Nelson Nursing home in Fairfield.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Dennis Stutrud of Washington. Burial will be in Center cemetery.
