Stanley W. "Bud" Boyce, 81, of Camdenton, Mo., died Sunday, April 18, 2004, in his home.

No funeral is planned. The body will be cremated after visitation. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton.

Memorial contributions to Camden County Library or Camdenton Senior Center may be left at the funeral home.

Mr. Boyce was born Nov. 15, 1922, near Packwood, the son of Anthony Wayne and Georgia Mae Tonkinson Boyce. He married Leota Ridgeway June 13, 1942.

Mr. Boyce grew up in Fairfield, where he graduated from Fairfield High School. Shortly after his marriage, he joined the United States Army and served in the European Theater during World War II. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Fairfield.

He was employed as a measurement technician by American Natural Resources for 29 years, retiring in June 1983. In January 1984, he and his wife moved to Camdenton to spend their retirement years on the Lake of the Ozarks, where he hunted, fished, played cards and visited with friends.

Mr. Boyce was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairfield.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jerry Boyce and wife Eileen of Salisbury, N.C., Murle Boyce of Camdenton, and Ronald Boyce and wife Judith of Rock Springs, Wyo.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Glen Boyce of Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Avon Angstead.
