Danny R. Kaufman, 40, of San Francisco, Calif., died Thursday, April 15, 2004, at Maitri Residency in San Francisco.

Chapel of the Sunset Funeral Home in San Francisco is in charge of cremation. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Assembly of God Church in Mount Pleasant. No visitation and no burial service are planned.

Mr. Kaufman was born Sept. 7, 1963, in Monmouth, Ill., the son of Ray and Nancy Zonca Kaufman.

He was educated in Burlington, Lockridge and Fairfield schools. He worked at Temple Theater in Mount Pleasant, Pioneer Theater in Omaha, Neb., and was a construction worker in San Francisco.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Raymond and Bonnie Kaufman of Mount Pleasant; eight stepbrothers, Terry Kaufman of Fairfield, Kenneth, Dennis and Mike L. Kaufman, all of Wayland, Andy Kaufman of Columbia, Mo., Mike D. Kaufman of Birmingham, Terry Jerrel of Mount Pleasant and Jason Jerrel of Fairfield; four stepsisters, Bridgette Littrel of Mount Pleasant, Tammy Trenary of Valley, Neb., Sherry Icarrino of Davenport and Lynn Reighard of Topeka, Kan.; six half-sisters, Laurie Harrison of Cedar Rapids, Crystal McMillan, Carman Kaufman and Holley Kaufman, all of Fort Madison, and Lisa Clark and Shayla White, both of Warsaw; and two stepmothers, Lavon Kaufman of Mount Pleasant, and Linda Greenfield Amos of Fairfield.
