Homer John PARCELL

The service for Homer John PARCELL, 81, 707 S. Sixth St., who died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 1991, at Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Hyde and the Rev. David Rogula officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery at Pleasant Plain. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Lord's Cupboard.

PARCELL was born May 16, 1910, in Washington County, the son of John R. and Elizabeth ASH PARCELL. He married Fay Elizabeth GRIMES on Oct. 16, 1934, in Memphis, Mo. She died Dec. 23, 1977. He lived for several years in Washington County, where he farmed and was a livestock buyer. He later lived in Jefferson and Van Buren counties before moving to Fairfield in 1982.

Surviving are a daughter, Janet JONES of Route 4; two grandchildren; a brother, Clifford PARCELL of Birmingham; a nephew, John PARCELL, who made his home with the PARCELLs for several years; three nieces and two nephews. Twin sisters, Beulah and Eulah and two brothers, William and Clayton, preceded him in death.
