Etheline D. VORHIES

Etheline D. VORHIES, 78, of Viola, Ill., died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, in her home.

The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church of Moline, Ill. Inurnment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill., at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Family Funeral Services in Milan, Ill. Memorials may be made to the family.

Mrs. VORHIES was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Fairfield, the daughter of Roy and Mildred NELSON JACOBS. She married Ron VORHIES Jan. 25, 1941, in Lockridge. He died in 1987.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon PETERSON of Viola, Christy BENDER of Sherrard, Ill., and Denise BEHRENSMEYER of Rock Island; one son, Randy VORHIES of Moline; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doreen BAILEY of Viola.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Lois HARRISON.
