Donald J. KLESNER

LIBERTYVILLE - Donald J. KLESNER, 55, of Libertyville, died at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at his home.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert McAleer officiating. Cremation will follow the Mass, with burial at a later date. Prayers for a Christian wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home, with family visitation to follow. A memorial has been established to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (Lou Gehrig Disease).

KLESNER was born Feb. 25, 1941, in Lee County, the son of Albert H. and Mary RISINGER KLESNER. On May 10, 1969, he married Karen Sue BREITENSTEIN in Fort Madison. A resident of the Fairfield area for 35 years, he was an accountant for Rockwell International Corporation for more than 30 years. He had been stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus-Fourth Degree, was a past president of parish council, and was a member of Fairfield Elks Lodge 1192.

Surviving are his wife of Libertyville; two sons, Chris of Columbus Junction, Paul of Libertyville; his parents of Fort Madison; two brothers, Fred of Fort Madison, Robert of Mountain Home, Ark.; six sisters, Marjorie SEAGER, Sister Virginia KLESNER, Rosemary LAKE and Jane LORENCE, all of Fort Madison, Martha SANDERS of Mount Pleasant and Mary GALLERICK of West Point.
