Donna E. VAN BLARICOME

Donna E. VAN BLARICOME, 72, of Nelson Nursing Home, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 22, 1991, at the nursing home.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Keevin Koch and the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Fairfield Public Library. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery following donation of the body to the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines.

Mrs. BLARICOME was born Feb. 17, 1919, at Centerville, the daughter of Thomas E. and Eliza SHAFFER MYERS. She grew up in Centerville. In 1938, she married Kenneth THARP. She later married Joseph E. VAN BLARICOME in October 1942 at Unionville, Mo. He died July 24, 1962. She lived her adult life in Jefferson County, was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving are three daughters, Helen LUNDQUIST of Fairfield, Claudette NORRIS of Batavia, Phyllis DOSIER of Ottumwa; two sons, John of Orlando, Fla., Stanley of Fairfield; and nine grandchildren. Her parents, three brothers, Donald, Dee and Carl MYERS and two sisters, Ruth MIDDLETON and Helen NELSON, preceded her in death.
