John Benjamin TAGLAUER, 80, retired mechanic, died at 12:05 p.m. Sunday at the Ottumwa Hospital.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Keith Lingwall officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Raymond Funeral Home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
"Ben" TAGLAUER was born May 3, 1897, at Germanville. He was the son of George and Magdalene STORTZ TAGLAUER.
His marriage to Alma McKENZIE took place June 18, 1935 in Nevada, Mo. They have lived in Fairfield their entire married life. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church.
TAGLAUER worked for 56 years as a mechanic and auto parts manager before his retirement. The family home is at 406 E. Adams.
Survivors include his widow; one sister, Mrs. Harlan DOBRAS, Fairfield; and a brother, Edmund TAGLAUER, Germanville.
TAGLAUER was preceded in death by two sisters.
