DEATH OF FORMER FAIRFIELDIAN.

J. H. GRADY, one of the early pioneers of Jefferson County, died the 10th inst. on a train near Texarkana, Ark. Mr. GRADY came to Jefferson County in 1837, making his home for a number of years in Round Prairie Township. In 1855 he removed to Missouri, returning to this county in '56 to claim Miss Elizabeth TILFORD as his bride. The wife and four daughters, all married, survive him. Mr. Grady had visited Fairfield frequently since leaving here, and besides a number of relatives in this community there are many friends who will mourn his death. The remains were interred the 16th inst. at Mt. Tabor cemetery, near his home at Atlanta, Mo., on land which he had entered just 53 years before.
