Elsie B. DIERS

Elsie B. DIERS, 92, died today, Friday, March 8, 1996, at Parkview Care Center.

The service is scheduled tentatively for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Fairfield Free Methodist Church.

Elsie B. DIERS

The service for Elsie B. DIERS, 92, who died Friday, March 8, 1996, at Parkview Care Center, was at 1:30 p.m. today at Raymond Funeral Home, with the Rev. E. Wayne Ryan officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Free Methodist Church.

Mrs. DIERS was born Sept. 20, 1903, in Fairhaven, N.Y., the daughter of the Rev. William Henry and Carrie KIMBELL KELLEY. She grew up in Iowa, graduated from Martinsburg High School and attended Parsons College. On Dec. 31, 1923, she married Glenn Robert DIERS at Martinsburg. He died Oct. 23, 1990.

She taught school at Cedar Township No. 4. She had been a resident of Fairfield for the past 65 years and was a member of Fairfield Free Methodist Church.

She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ella KELLEY, Mary Lee HERING, Marguerite MARTIN; and a brother, Oliver KELLEY.
