Maurice BLEES

BRIGHTON - Maurice BLEES, 76, of Tucson, Ariz., former Brighton resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1993, at Tucson.

The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. John Stack officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

BLEES was born July 19, 1916, near Washington, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Marie STUMPS BLEESS. He attended St. James Grade School at Washington and Washington High School. He married Esther WALLACE on Jan. 8, 1952. He farmed in the Washington and Brighton areas for several years and was an Army veteran of World War II. He moved to Tucson in 1961.

Surviving are his wife; a son, James L. of Tucson and two grandchildren.
