Gilbert Ray ST.CLAIR

Gilbert Ray ST. CLAIR, 80, 607 W. Van Buren Ave., died at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 1996, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Todd Follette officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.

ST. CLAIR was born July 8, 1915, in Terre Haute, Ill., the son of Leslie Ray and Flora Belle LAKE ST. CLAIR. On Aug. 10, 1939, he married Dorothy J. GOODWIN in Fairfield. She died March 7, 1991. A resident of Fairfield for the past 20 years, and before that in Canton, Ill., he was a welder for International Harvester for 14 years, retiring in 1977.

Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Yvette GREELEY of Ardmore, Okla., Novena Marie WRIGHT of Fairfield; two sons, Leonard Wayne of Chicago, Leslie Earl of Burbank, Ill.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Archie of Overland Park, Kan.; and a sister, Louise RIDGWAY of Keosauqua. Two sisters, Thelma MORGEL and Marie LINDER, and an infant brother preceded him in death.
