Henry David HUNT, 95, formerly of Fairfield, died Friday evening, Jan. 3, 1992, at the Methodist Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John D. Boatman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Open visitation begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Memorials have been established to American Heart Association and First Baptist Church Building Fund.
HUNT was born May 21, 1896, in McCool, Miss., the son of Van and Willie MORGAN HUNT. He married Amanda Lorena NORRIS on Dec. 20, 1914, in McCool. She died Dec. 25, 1986. He was a self-employed farmer and carpenter and had lived most of his life in Mississippi. He and his wife moved to Fairfield in 1981. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in McCool.
Surviving are three daughters, Hazel HUNT and Ezra FRITTS, both of Fairfield, Mavis STEPHENSON of Flushing, Mich.; two sons, Douglas of Kulpsville, Penn., Dewayne of Brandon, Miss.; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Lula RAMAGE of Kosciusko, Miss. Two sons, Marlin and Bernard, three sisters, Katie, Erie, Vannie, four brothers, Homer, Thomas, Cecil and Marvin preceded him in death.
