Esther BURNETT

Esther BURNETT, 84, of Parkview Care Center, died at 2:52 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 1992, at Parkview.

She was born Jan. 27, 1907, at Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth EGGENBERGER STEPHENSON. The family moved to Lockridge. She married Clarence BURNETT in January 1927. They farmed near Glasgow, Libertyville and Batavia before moving to Fairfield 20 years ago.

She was a member of the First Augustana Lutheran Church at Lockridge.

She was preceded in death by her husband on April 4, 1991, her parents, and one brother, Alvin STEPHENSON.

Surviving are three daughters, Wilma ANDERSON of Cantril, JoAnn THYS of Fairfield and Alberta JOHNSON of Ottumwa; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Marth JOHNS of Fairfield; and one brother, Martin STEPHENSON of Whitefish, Mont.

The funeral service was at 11 a.m. today at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. Meyer officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Parkview Care Center activity fund.
