"MRS. WILLIAM McWHIRTER DIED THIS MORNING…..passed away at her home about five miles southeast of Fairfield. She was about 47 years of age, and besides her husband she is survived by four children: Florence, Nina, Hugh and Eva Mae, all at home. A little son, Clifford, preceded his mother in death about 4 years ago. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Angeline Stout, and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Fry, Mrs. Eliza Montgomery, both of Jefferson County, and Mrs. Bertha Frame, of Beaver, Wyoming; two brothers, Albert Stout of Libertyville and William stout, northeast of Fairfield. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at the 2;30 from the house, in charge of Rev. Burdine of Montezuma."

McWHIRTER.

Mrs. William McWHIRTER died Tuesday at her home southeast of Fairfield, after a brief illness at the age of forty-seven. Her death was entirely unexpected and came as a severe shock to relatives and friends.

Mrs. McWHIRTER is survived by her husband, three daughters and a son, all of them living at home.

Funeral services were held at the family home, conducted by Rev. Berdeen, of Montezuma.

LIFE OF MRS. R. L. McWHIRTER (sic - Mrs. William McWHIRTER)

Effie A. STOUT was born January 1, 1817 (sic - 1871) and departed October 1, 1918 at the age of 40 years and 9 months (sic - 47 years).

On February 15, 1894, she was united in marriage to Wm. McWHIRTER. To this marriage were born five children: Florence M., Nina B., Hugh L., Clifford W., and Eva Mae, all of whom are left to survive her except Clifford W., who preceeded (sic) her in death March 22, 1915.

Her father, Ephriam STOUT also preceded her in death, February 13, 1917. Beside her husband and children she is also survived by her aged mother Angeline STOUT, and three sisters, Ella M. FRY, Eliza PATTERSON, Bertha FRAME and two brothers, Albert and Wm. C. STOUT, all of whom reside in this county, except Bertha, whose home is in Deaver, Wyoming.

Early in life Mrs. McWHIRTER united with the Ebenezer Christian church of which she remained an earnest and faithful worker until death.
