Phyllis Jean MOLKENTHIN, 84, of Ollie died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Iowa City Hospice House.
A funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Prairie View United Methodist Church near Ollie, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Pennington Cemetery near Sigourney.
Visitation with family is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to family.

Fremont Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Mrs. MOLKENTHIN was born March 15, 1929, in Washington County, the daughter of Elmer and Alta GUENTHER. She married to Herbert MOLKENTHIN Feb. 25, 1951, in Washington, Iowa.
She graduated from Washington High School in 1947 and from Paris Beauty School in Cedar Rapids in 1949.
She was a member of Prairie View United Methodist Church.
She belonged to Mahaska County Traveling Chiefs and Ottumwa Card Club.
She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and playing Sudoku, and camping at the Iowa State Fair for more than 50 years.
Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly MOLKENTHIN; one son, Robert MOLKENTHIN and spouse Gail, all of Ollie; four grandchildren; four great- grandchildren (sic); and one brother, William GUENTHER of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert; and one sister, Maxine.
