BATAVIA - A memorial service for Vivian M. CARR, 82, of rural Batavia, who died at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 1993, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Libertyville Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Ernest DeWitt and the Rev. Gordon Oliver officiating. The body was cremated and ashes will be interred in Brethren Cemetery northwest of Libertyville. A memorial has been established to Christian Missions in Many Lands Inc., care of Charles CARR, Route 1, Batavia, 52533.
Mrs. CARR was born Nov. 25, 1910, near Batavia, the daughter of Powell and Emma FANSCHOR MORLEY. She graduated from Batavia High School and lived her life in the Batavia area. On Nov. 25, 1931, she married Lee CARR. He died in 1984. She was a farm homemaker and had been a member of Libertyville Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are four sons, Kenneth of Hayden Lake, Idaho, Charles and Wendell, both of Batavia, Steven of Darlington, Wis.; two daughters, Martha GOEMATT (sic - GOEMAAT) of Birmingham, Vera DENNEY of Stockport; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A sister, Vera SHIPLER, preceded her in death.
