Harry RAMSAY

Harry RAMSAY, U.S. Air Force, Lt. Col (Retired) died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

A funeral is at 6 p.m. Thursday, in Amory Funeral Home Chapel in Grafton, Va.

The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, 6350 North Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502 or the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250.

Mr. RAMSAY was born April 16, 1929, in Fairfield, the son of Ralph and Lena RAMSAY.

He was a decorated Air Force veteran who flew Sabre and F4 fighter jets in the Korean and Vietnam wars (sic - conflicts).

After his retirement, he had a successful career in real estate.

He was involved in many civic organizations, including the York River Exchange Club and the Republican Party of Virginia.

He enjoyed golfing and spending time at the beach, mostly at his vacation home in the Outer Banks.

He was previously a member of Fords Colony and Kiln Creek golf clubs.

Survivors include three daughters, Patti ALDERMAN and spouse Gary, and Lisa TULLOSS and spouse Rob, all of Yorktown, Va., and Robin RAMSAY of Poquoson, Va.; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his late-wife's two children Debbie SMITH and spouse David of Gloucester, and David HOLTACKERS and spouse Tiffany of Poquoson, and their children and grandchild; and one sister, Carol MOYER of Kankakee, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nann W. RAMSAY, in August.
