March 09, 2004Robert S. Martin, 65, of Keosauqua, died at 11:45 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2004, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Keosauqua Christian Church, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial will be in the Way of the Cross Memorial Cemetery, south of Keosauqua.
Visitation opens at 3 p.m. today at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the family present from 7-8 p.m.
Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 21205 Highway 2, Keosauqua 52565.
Mr. Martin was born March 29, 1938, in Clinton, the son of Earl and Mildred Martin. He married Joanne Marilyn Rannestad Aug. 22, 1964, in Whiting. She died May 16, 2001.
He was a Christian minister serving various churces, the most recent in Milton, and retired to Keosauqua in 1999. He was cco-founder of the Way of the Cross Foundation, Inc., Keosauqua.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Martin of Keosauqua, Timothy Martin of Ottumwa, Christian Martin and wife Brandy of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Jerry Martin of Comanche and Richard Martin of Wisconsin; and two sisters, Cookie Dorsey and Alice Fulton, both of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
