KING Rites On Tuesday

Mary M. KING, 50, former resident of Fairfield, died suddenly about 11 a.m. Saturday at her home, 49th Street Place, Des Moines. Her death was caused by an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home this evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. to receive friends.

Mary M. KING was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Jefferson County near Batavia, the daughter of Ernest L. and Blanche HARRISON COPELAND. She was reared and educated in Fairfield.

She was married July 3, 1945, in Fairfield to Walter M. VAN DER SNICK. He died Sept. 23, 1949. Her marriage to Donald KING took place May 30, 1957. He is employed by Hy Vee Food Stores in Des Moines.

Mrs. KING is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Michael CHEDISTER, Fairfield; her mother, Mrs. Blanche COPELAND, Fairfield; one brother, Donald COPELAND, Fairfield; and three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur HORTON, Fairfield; Mrs. Robert HEALD, Packwood; and Mrs. Kenneth SIX, Fairfield.

Mrs. KING was preceded in death by her father.
