Death Of Mrs. DUSTIN.

Mrs. William F. DUSTIN, a resident of this county since 1839, died at her home in Liberty township Thursday about midnight. She had been in ill health for several months and was confined to her bed for nearly eleven weeks prior to her death, a sufferer from bright's disease. All that skilled medical attention, careful nursing, the cheer and comfort of friends could do was without avail. Mrs. DUSTIN was the eldest daughter of Michael F. and Frances PEEBLER, who came to this county in 1839. She was born in Sangamon County, Ind. (sic - Ill.?), May 9th, 1831, grew to womanhood here and was married to Mr. DUSTIN, August 23d, 1849. Her entire life here was spent on the farm in Liberty township, with the exception of two years, when she and her husband had charge of the county farm. Nine children were born to these parents, five of whom are now living -- W.W. and W.E. at Goodland, Kan.; Mrs. James WEIR at Ottumwa; Mrs. E. R. POLLOCK in this city, and Frank in Liberty Township. All members of the family were with the mother in her last illness. Those who knew Mrs. DUSTIN best speak of her as a loving wife and mother, as one who had always led an upright, stainless life, as one whose departure will be sincerely mourned far outside the home circle. The funeral services were held Saturday and the remains interred in the Cumberland cemetery, where other members of the family are buried. Services conducted by Rev E. L. Doud, assisted by Rev. C. Springer. The family desires to thank the friends who showed its members so many kindnesses and so much sympathy in the time of affliction.

There was a sad coincidence in connection with the death of Mrs. DUSTIN. Her aged mother, Mrs. PEEBLER, passed from earth a day or two previous and her remains were interred the same day the death of the daughter occurred.
