MITCHELL, 64, Dies Suddenly

B. Dean MITCHELL, 64, 309 E. Jefferson, died suddenly Saturday at 12:40 p.m. at the Ottumwa Hospital. He had been seriously ill for two and a half days.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. W.C. Trembly, Agency, officiating. Odd Fellows rites will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

MITCHELL was employed by the Ottumwa Courier for the past 29 years. He had made his home in Fairfield for more than 30 years.

MITCHELL was born July 1, 1909 at Bloomfield, the son of Frank and Zena MURFIN MITCHELL. He was married to Catherine ROLSTON Oct. 3, 1931.

Surviving are his widow and three children: Mrs. Charlotte MARK and Mrs. Judith HOLCOMB, both of Humboldt; Allen MITCHELL, Ottumwa; five grandchildren and three brothers: Leo MITCHELL, Bloomfield; Joe MITCHELL, Canton, Ohio; and W.F. MITCHELL Jr., Albany, N.Y.

MITCHELL was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, IOOF Lodge No. 4, and the International Typographers Union.
