LUTZ Rites Saturday

EAST PLEASANT PLAIN - Ambrose F. LUTZ died Wednesday afternoon, July 18 at 2:45 p.m. at the Shenks Rest Home in Wellman. He had been a patient in the Washington County Hospital before entering the Rest Home last Friday.

Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7;30 p.m. in the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. from the St. Joseph Catholic church in East Pleasant Plain in charge of Father Francis E. Bass assisted by Rev. J. Shepherd of Washington and Father Paul Wetzstein.

LUTZ was born September 22, 1884, south of Keota, the son of Frank and Mary VOGEL LUTZ. He married Christine FRITZ April 5, 1948.

Besides his wife he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Matt REDLINGER, Washington, and a brother, Geoerge LUTZ, Wellman, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain and was custodian there for several years.

Admin. note: The Social Security Death Index online has a birthdate of 1883 for him, not the 1884 noted in the obituary. Wife Christine died in 1976 and is buried with him in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
