Ronald CHARLTON

Ronald CHARLTON, 71, of Fairfield, died Friday, Oct 18, 2013, at home.

A celebration of life service is 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Fairfield VFW.

Mr. CHARLTON was born Sept. 28, 1942. He married to Gaylee GRIFFIN LAUFER.

He was from the St. Louis area, and lived and worked in the Fairfield area for several years.

He and his wife owned and operated the West Bound Club & Restaurant in the 1980s.

Most recently he was the night clerk at Super 8 Motel in Fairfield.

He enjoyed aviation.

Survivors include one stepson, Kris LAUFER and spouse Kate of Des Moines; one son, Butch of St. Louis; and one daughter, Gail CHARLTON PHILIP of Brunswick, Maine.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gaylee.
