Austin William WONDERLICH

Austin William WONDERLICH, 23, of Pleasant Hill, died tragically Thursday, October 3, 2013.

He was born August 22, 1990.

He is survived by his parents, Bill and Jane WONDERLICH; one brother, Cody; and grandparents Charles and Jeannette BRINNING of Richland and Bill and Margaret WONDERLICH of Ollie.

A vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9, at the WONDERLICH home.

A noon Memorial Service will be held Oct. 10 at Oakwood United Methodist Church in Pleasant Hill.

Memorials may be directed to the WONDERLICH family.

Note: The funeral home website had a bit more detail in the obituary posted there, which included mention that he was a 2009 graduate of Southeast Polk High School. He went to DMACC and obtained an Associate's Degree, then transferred to Iowa State University and was currently a senior in agricultural studies. He is also survived by a great-grandmother, Armena STARR, uncles James L. SLOAN Jr. (Mindy) and Jason (Val) SLOAN, aunt Kathy WONDERLICH, and a special friend, Molly WHARTON, in addition to other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James L. SLOAN.
