Linda NIELSEN, 65, of Fairfield, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home.

Linda 'Lou' Beth NIELSEN

Linda "Lou" Beth NIELSEN, 65 of Fairfield, died thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A funeral was at 1p.m. (sic) today, Tuesday, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Wotherspoon officiating. Cremation followed the service. Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends was held Monday evening at First Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Awana's Group. Memorials and cards can be sent to 804 W. grimes Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. NEILSON (sic - NIELSEN) was born Nov. 11, 1947, the daughter of John and Ester KIRKPATRICK WINTER in Fairfield. In 1998 she married Niels NIELSEN.

She lived most of her life in the Fairfield and Washington County, Iowa areas. For 15 years she lived in the Des Moines area, where she worked customer service at Wells Fargo.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fairfield. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Group, Salt Group and helped with Awana's group.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting and especially enjoyed her cat, Sweetie.

She also liked lighthouses and hummingbirds.

Survivors include her husband, Niels NIELSEN; three children, Jullie RICHMOND and spouse Wes DAVIDSON of Huxley, Tiff WIDMER of Fairfield and Sgt. Tara WIDMER of Baltimore, Md; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joanne WINTER.
