AMONG OUR NEIGHBORS: J. M. GONTERMAN, who had resided on the same farm in Des Moines Township since 1855, died at his home near County Line the 17th inst. He had been ill for nearly a year past. Deceased was born in Madison County, Ill., March 12 1820, grew to manhood there and was married to Miss Sarah CARVER April 20 1848. Mrs. GONTERMAN and six children survive the husband and father. Five sons live on farms near the old home, while a daughter resides in Colorado.

Admin Note: Buried in County Line Cemetery as is wife Sarah who died 10 years later. This cemetery has been known by several names: Dunn, County Line, Gonterman, and Rominger.
