Batavia, Ia. -- Mrs. Thomas F. GONTERMAN, resident of the Batavia community for a number of years, died Sunday morning at the Solt Nursing home in Ottumwa. Last rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Campbell funeral chapel in Batavia with the Rev. Dale Ellsworth in charge. Burial will be in the Gonterman cemetery southeast of Batavia.

Araminta Willetta GONTERMAN, 91, was born Jan. 6, 1872, in Ottumwa, the daughter of James and Mary Ellen BOCK. She spent her early life in Ottumwa. On March 29, 1900, she was married to Thomas F. GONTERMAN. They lived on a farm southeast of Batavia until his death in November, 1931. Mrs. GONTERMAN had lived for several years in the Batavia area and was a member of the Batavia Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Robert GONTERMAN, Fairfield; three daughters, Mrs. Cora McBRIDE, Batavia; Mrs. Mary BOOTON, Pomona, Calif.; and Mrs. June DAILEY, Fairfield. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.
