Wilford G. "Bud" GOODWIN, 62, of Howell, Mich., formerly of Fairfield, died of cancer Thursday, Jan. 9, 1992, in Howell.

the service was held Monday in Howell. memorials may got to the family at 403 E. Sibley St., Howell, Mich., 48843.

GOODWIN was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Fairfield, the son of W.E. "Friday" and Grace GOODWIN. He married Rose Mary SCHAEFER on Feb. 14, 1953, in Portland, Mich. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and was greenskeeper at Fairfield Golf and Country Club before moving to Michigan. He was employed by the Southeast School System in Howell for 21 years.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Gary; two daughters, Debra SMITH and Kathi Jo WORRALL, all of Howell; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three brothers, Robert of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Kenneth of Colorado Springs, Colo., Richard of Mount Pleasant; and a sister, Carole MORRISON of Fairfield.
