The service for D. Irene LARSON, 75, 2533 170th St., who died Monday, Jan. 22, 1996, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Raymond Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church and the Midwest Old Threshers Association.
Mrs. LARSON was born April 15, 1920, at Mount Union, the daughter of Henry and Ethel ORRIS DeHARPPART. She grew up in the Mount Union community and graduated from Mount Union High School. On Jan. 10, 1942, she married Roy Raymond LARSON, who died Dec. 19, 1994. A resident of the Fairfield community for the past 54 years, she had been secretary for Larson Ford and had worked for Harrison Department Store, Svancina Jewelers and Parkview Care Center until her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Rebekahs, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Deborah Circle, and was a volunteer at Old Threshers for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharon SCHAFER of Brighton, Jean MILLER of Winfield; a son, Marvin of Fairfield; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her parents, a brother, Allar DeHARPPART, preceded her in death.
