MRS. VERLA PEEBLER

Mrs. Verla PEEBLER, 31 years old, wife of Glenn Peebler, living one mile southeast of Batavia, died at Sunnyslope sanatorium, east of Ottumwa, at 7:30 this morning. Mrs. PEEBLER had been a patient at the sanatorium for the past five years. She is survived by her husband; one son, George; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George COLTON and two brothers, Vern and Robert COLTON. The body was taken to the Davidson funeral chapel at Batavia and will remain there until the hour of funeral services which will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Christian church of Batavia. The Rev. George Carr will officiate. Burial will be made in the Brethren cemetery.

Well Known Batavia Woman Dies in Ottumwa After Long Illness

Mrs. Verla P. PEEBLER, wife of Glenn PEEBLER, who lives southeast of Batavia, died this morning in the Sunny Slope sanitorium, at 7:30. She is survived by her husband, one son George Edward, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward COLTON of Ottumwa. She is also survived by two brothers, Vern and Robert, both of Ottumwa.

She had been a patient, suffering for the past five years.

The funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 at the Batavia Christian church, in charge of Rev. Glenn Carr of the Brethren church. The burial will be in the Brethren cemetery.

The body was taken to the Davidson funeral home in Batavia and will remain there until the time of the funeral. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Admin. note: She and Glenn (L. Glen on her gravestone) have a joint gravestone at Brethren/Dunkard Cemetery, however he is buried in Batavia Cemetery with his second wife Grace.
