James A. KELLER

James A. KELLER, 84, 1774 140th Ave., Indianola, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 1991, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. John D. Boatman officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery at Lockridge. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorials have been established to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines and the American Heart Association.

KELLER was born Oct. 16, 1906, in Jefferson County, the son of Jule and Maggie LIBLIN KELLER. He married Georgia DICE on Dec. 3, 1932, in Memphis, Mo. She died June 29, 1964. On Jan. 1, 1971, he married Bessie MILLER in Des Moines. She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Clara POTTER of Iowa City; a stepson, Charles MILLER of Indianola; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl of Cantril, Russell of Fairfield and a sister, Macel BRERETON of Keosauqua. Two brothers, Ralph and Marshall, preceded him in death.

KELLER was a farmer and had worked as a janitor at the main library at University of Iowa in Iowa City. He was a member of the Baptist church.
