Roger Xenephon 'Bob' WARTH

Roger Xenephon "Bob" WARTH, 64, of Burlington, died at 6:40 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Danville Care Center.

A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. David Mixon officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.

The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel.

A memorial has been established.

Mr. WARTH was born July 22, 1949, in Iowa City, the son of Walter William and Lois Irene PUGH WARTH. He married Ruby HELMICK. They later divorced and remained friends.

He worked at SSS Gray Iron, had been a detailer at a car wash in Temple, Texas and worked at a plastic factory in Bonaparte.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, mushroom hunting, playing and telling jokes and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Tony WARTH of Burlington; one daughter, Melissa NICHOLS of Burlington; numerous grandchildren; and two sisters, Frances HESSELTINE of Burlington and Dorothy HELMICK of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.
