Funeral for G. BEST Monday

Grace E. BEST, 77, 1001 W. Hempstead Ave. died Friday evening at Jefferson County Hospital.

She was born Oct. 6, 1909, in Fairfield, the daughter of James A. and Etta LOWREY FRESHWATER. She married Floyd W. BEST June 14, 1930, in the Lutheran Parsonage at Ottumwa.

Mrs. BEST was a lifetime resident of the Fairfield community, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Tommie G. of Altoona; and three grandchildren, Brian, Michael and Jonelle BEST.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. James Battey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
