Margaret Elaine Lovedy, 84, of Birmingham died at 12:10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham, with the Rev. Connie Markle officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Birmingham.

A memorial has been established to the family.

Mrs. Lovedy was born Dec. 17, 1919, in Birmingham, the daughter of Zach and Verda Sadler Anderson. She married Leonard A. Lovedy March 25, 1939, in Kahoka, Mo. He died March 14, 1983.

Mrs. Lovedy was a lifetime resident of the Birmingham community, graduating from Birmingham High School. She worked in production at the Fairfield Glove Company.

She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and served for many years as chairman of the Birmingham Homecoming flea market.

Survivors include one son, Larry Lovedy and wife Carol of Douds; two grandsons; one brother, Ross Anderson of Mount Pleasant; and one sister, Florence Louth of Birmingham.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Frederick Anderson; and one sister, Vada Shott.
