Judith A. HUFFMAN

Judith A. HUFFMAN, 73, of Douds, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A private memorial service is Thursday at Fellow Cemetery (sic) in Keosauqua. According to her wishes, the body has been cremated.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Cards and memorials can be sent to 2680 Douds Road, Libertyville 52567.

Behner Funeral Home and Crematory in Fairfield is handling arrangements.

Mrs. HUFFMAN was born March 23, 1940, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Earl and Hazel McELWAIN WATKINS. She married James Dean HUFFMAN June 8, 1957, in Keosauqua. He died Nov. 19, 2006.

She graduated from Van Buren High School in 1957.

She was a lifelong resident of Van Buren and Wapello counties. She lived in Douds the past six years.

She was a nurse and had worked at Van Buren County Hospital, Good Samaritan and Ottumwa Manor where she retired in 1992.

Survivors include four children, Tony HUFFMAN and spouse Shelly of Stockport, Tracy WELDON and spouse Charles of Knoxville, Troy HUFFMAN and spouse Margaret of Eldon and Trina SIMMONS and spouse Jim of Libertyville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley RILEY of Des Moines.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Tanya HUFFMAN; and four sisters, Patricia COOK, Iris PARSONS, Jackie Jo WATKINS and Nona Vail WATKINS.
