James Dean HUFFMAN, 68, of Douds, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, at Hospice in Ottumwa.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The body will be cremated.

Mr. HUFFMAN was born July 28, 1938, in Keosauqua, the son of Wilbert S. and Lucille Roberts HUFFMAN. He married Judith Ann WATKINS June 8, 1957, in Keosauqua.

Mr. HUFFMAN was an airman in the U.S. Air Force. He was a construction supervisor for 40 years for Housing and Urban Development. After retirement, he was the grounds supervisor at Maharishi University of Management and did maintenance at Nelson Nursing Home.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Tony HUFFMAN and wife Shelly of Stockport, Tracy WELDON and husband Charles of Knoxville, Troy HUFFMAN and wife Margaret of Eldon and Trina SIMMONS and husband Jim of Libertyville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry HUFFMAN of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tanya HUFFMAN; one sister, Betty ARNOLD; and three brothers, Donnie, Jack and Joe HUFFMAN.
