Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, pg. 8.Elinor DECKER, 90, 910 W. Jefferson Ave., died at 12:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006.
A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Suburban Heights Baptist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Interment will be at Richland Friends Cemetery in Richland.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Suburban Heights Baptist Church in Fairfield.

Mrs. DECKER was born Feb. 5, 1916, in Glenwood, Minn., the daughter of I.B. Berna and Julia Belle Starr NELSON. She married Merle Bond DECKER June 20, 1935, at her parents’ home in Fairfield. He died Feb. 12, 2004.
Mrs. DECKER moved to Jefferson County during her early childhood. She lived in the county all of her life with the exception of eight years during which she and her husband resided in Douds. They moved back to Fairfield in 1989. She was employed as a clerk in several retail stores and retired from Fairfield Glove Factory in 1982 where she was a leather glove inspector.
Mrs. DECKER was a member of First Christian Church in Fairfield for many years, and in recent years, she attended Suburban Heights Baptist Church.
She enjoyed sewing, reading the Bible and spending time with family.
Survivors include three children, Berle DECKER and wife Janice of Omaha, Neb., Marna BENION of Lewisburg, Pa., and Terrence DECKER and wife Dixie of Libertyville; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Arnold NELSON; and five sisters, Josephine MYERS, Doris MANN, Ilene MILLER, Alice PERRY and Helen LATHROP.
