Charles Ray "Chuckie" CHAFFIN Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. CHAFFIN Sr., died Friday evening from injuries received in a fall.
The 20-month-old child sustained fatal injuries when he fell from a kitchen chair at the family home on Fairfield Route 2 near Salina. The accident occurred about 6:30 p.m.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. John Wilken officiating. Arrangements are in charge of the Raymond Funeral Home.
The family moved to their present home from Birmingham 15 months ago. The elder CHAFFIN is employed at the Iowa Malleable Iron Co.
Charles Ray was born July 27, 1976 in Keosauqua, the son of Charles R. and Patricia Louise CLARK CHAFFIN. In addition to his parents, the child is survived by three sisters, Cindy, Pamela and Tina; and two brothers, Tytravess and Timothy, all at home.
Surviving grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Walter CLARK, Fort Madison; and Mrs. and Mrs. (sic) Fred CHAFFIN, Grand Junction, Colo.
