R. BENNETT Dies At 79

PACKWOOD - Roscoe BENNETT, 79, resident of Packwood, died at 4:10 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health for sometime.

Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Packwood Christian Church with the Rev. Donald Harbour officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Cincinatti.

The family will receive friends at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield Saturday evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Roscoe BENNETT was born Oct. 24, 1897, in Sullivan County, Mo., the son of Fred E. and Rebecca BUNNELL BENNETT.

He retired from farming and had lived in Packwood since 1932. He was a member of the Packwood Christian Church. His marriage to Gladys SNIDER took place Feb. 4, 1919 in Centerville. She survives.

In addition to his widow BENNETT is survived by one son, Burl, Omaha, Neb.; one daughter, Bernadine RICHARDSON, Mulvane, Kansas; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray BENNETT, Kenosha, Wis.; and a sister, Ruth BENNETT, Centerville.

He was preceded in death by two sons, seven brothers and sisters.
