Wednesday, July 18, 1979Raymond SWANSON dies
Raymond C. SWANSON, 81, 102 E. Jefferson, died Tuesday at 11:45 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health for several years.
Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Behner Funeral Home with burial in Fell Cemetery at Libertyville.
He was born November 7, 1897 at Libertyville, the son of August and Augusta ANDERSON SWANSON. On October 10, 1922 he married Ruth CARLSON in Des Moines.
SWANSON was a groceryman in Libertyville for many years and after his retirement he was custodian at the First National Bank in Fairfield. He was a member of the First United Methodist church.
Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Dorothy RODABAUGH of Fairfield, two grandchildren and one brother, Harold SWANSON of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Admin. note: Wife Ruth died in 1984 and is buried with him.
