R. ANGSTEAD Dies At 90

Raymond David ANGSTEAD, 90, lifelong resident of Jefferson County, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Parkview Care Center where he had been a patient the past two years.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Dorman officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Raymond David ANGSTEAD was born July 27, 1886, in Fairfield, the son of Hiram and Sarah Lynn ANGSTEAD. he (sic) was married Nov. 6, 1906, to Elizabeth Pearl ANDERSON at West Burlington. She preceded him in death Dec. 16, 1972.

He was a retired painter and a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include the following children: Carl H., San Diego, Calif.; Edward C., Glasgow; Wilson R., San Bernardino, Calif.; Mildred SHANER, Fairfield; Glen B., Fairfield; and Mae NEWLON, Branson, Mo.

Also 18 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by one son, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, eight brothers and three sisters.
