Death Takes Mrs. SYLVESTER

OTTUMWA - Edna E. SYLVESTER, 71, of Ottumwa, and a native of Jefferson County, died at her home in Ottumwa Friday evening.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Ottumwa. The Rev. Kermit Black will officiate. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.

Mrs. SYLVESTER was born Aug. 26, 1906, in Jeffersonm (sp) County, the daughter of Charles and Ida BAKER DOROTHY. She married George E. SYLVESTER on Nov. 28, 1923 in Fairfield. He died in 1972. She was a member of the People's Church at Batavia.

Surviving are two sisters, Sadie CREEK of Libertyville and Mary BRADLEY of Newark, Del.; and one brother, Manford DOROTHY of Everett, Mass.
