V. BLAKLEY Dies At 61

Victor BLAKLEY, 61, 1001 E. Broadway, died suddenly of a heart attack Tuesday afternoon.

He was born Aug. 6, 1916 in Tennessee, the son of Jess and Emaline BOTTS BLAKLEY. A resident of Fairfield the past 25 years, he was employed at Dexter Company until his health forced him to retire six years ago. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

He married Mildred GREAZEL Feb. 5, 1947 in Iowa City. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mary Christine ANDERSON, Frances Arlene CHAMBERS, Jane Ann LEU and one son, Joseph Michael, all of Fairfield; five grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Jake SEXTON of Mission, Tex., Nancy SMITH of Panama City, Fla., Tom BLAKLEY of Cedar Rapids, Dillie VODICKA of Richmond, Iowa and Lee BLAKLEY of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Karl Holtkamp officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
