Lori "Denise" SCEARCY, 48 of Richland, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
The funeral is set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. After the service, the body will be cremated, and burial of cremains will be at a later date.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Cards and memorials can be sent to: 417 W. Main St., Richland 52585. On line condolences may be made at behnerfh.com.
Mrs. SCEARCY was born Aug. 27, 1964, in Fairfield, the daughter of Ronne and Karen NELSON HOLT. She married Christopher M. SCEARCY March 14, 2002.
Mrs. SCEARCY graduated from Fairfield High School in 1982.
She was raised in Fairfield and lived in Richland for the last 13 years.
She worked for five years at Agri Industrial Plastics as a machine operator.
She enjoyed bowling, spending time with family and friends, gardening, elephants, frogs and "cleaning fish."
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Kirya LOUTH and husband Jake of Fairfield; one son, Greyden M. SCEARCY of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; her parents of Fairfield; and one sister: Kristi HEGENBARTH.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
