John Franklin OGDEN

John Franklin OGDEN, 81, of Black Paint, Calif., died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael, Calif.

No memorial service is planned. The body has been cremated.

Mr. OGDEN was born June 24, 1931, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, the son of Henry and Edythe RODGERS OGDEN.

Mr. OGDEN graduated from Fairfield High School in 1950. He worked at Brown Shoe Fit Company before leaving Fairfield in 1956 to make his home in California.

He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad as a bridgetender in 1992.

Survivors include: two brothers, Lyndon OGDEN of Pocahontas, Ark., and Robert OGDEN of Fairfield; two sisters, Lelah RAINS of Johnston and Edythe Joyce GRABY of Fairfield; and his friend and caregiver Dave Ball of Bodga Bay, Calif.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Willard OGDEN.
