Lewis A. 'Louie' BAKER

Lewis A. "Louie" BAKER, 84, of Weeping Water, Neb., died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, Neb.

The funeral was held today at the United Methodist church in Weeping Water. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery, also in Weeping Water.

Memorials can be given to the church, Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth or to the family. Tributes and condolences can be left at Hammons Family Funeral Services at www.hammonsfs.com.

Mr. BAKER was born May 3, 1929, in Avoca, Neb., the son of Sam and Vesta TAYLOR BAKER. He married Eleanor IRWIN.

He was a carpenter and had his own construction company.

He was a member of United Methodist Church, Masonic Euclid Lodge No. 97 and Eastern Star Elizabeth No. 250. He was a Weeping Water volunteer fireman and Weeping Water city councilmen (sic - councilman).

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sandi DIMMITT and husband Keith of Fairfield and Laurie DELAY of Bellevue, Neb.; one son, Randy BAKER of Louisville, Neb.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret PECK of Blair, Neb. and Ruth LEIDY of Norman, Okla.; and one brother, Charlie BAKER of Bellevue, Neb.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Ivan BAKER; and one daughter-in-law Angie BAKER.
