Miss BALL Dies At 67

Josephine Whitmore BALL, 67, died Wednesday at 5:40 p.m. at the Mental Health Institute in Mount Pleasant.

Miss BALL was born Dec. 1, 1909 in Fairfield, the daughter of Joseph and Georgian WHITEMORE (sic - WHITMORE) BALL. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1927 and from the University of Iowa in 1932. She also attended Stanford University at Palo Alto, Calif., and Ferry Hall University at Lake Forest, Ill.

Miss BALL was a realtor for Huston and Son Realtors in Des Moines for 25 years and also owned the "Book Nook" in Fairfield for several years. She was a member of Chapter HA, PEO.

Surviving are two aunts, Mrs. Inez MILLER of Garden Grove, Calif., and Mrs. Nellie HUNT of Fairfield and a number of cousins.

Services will be Saturday, 2:30 p.m., at First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Kennedy and the Rev. John Wheatley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 21ST DAY OF JUNE, 1977, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JOSEPHINE W. BALL, DECEASED, BEARING DATE OF THE 22ND DAY OF AUGUST, 1973, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT FIRST NATIONAL BANK IN FAIRFIELD WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAINS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.
